So I'm EV training for the first time because I hate the Battle Maison, and I'm starting with Espeon. I've only got the Power Lens so far, so I'm starting with Sp. Attack. I need a Pokemon with Pokerus so I can spread it to Espeon. I also need 10 Carbos and a Power Anklet, if you have a spare one. I'd just like you guys' help because this is my first time doing this and I'd like it to go successfully.

I do know a fair bit about EV training already, and I have decided to simply go with hordes along with Pokerus and the Power items.

I don't think people are just going to give a Power Anklet away for free, plus it's only a few battles
I wouldn't use Pokemon vitamins by the way, I'd just use Pokerus + Power _____ + hordes. The combination of Pokerus and a Power item against a 1EV pokemon is 10EVs ( (1+4)*2=10 ) Hordes are easily found with sweet scent and can easily be defeated with AOE moves like Surf. Hordes always consist of 5 so you multiple the 10EVs by 5 which gives you 50 EVs. Two easy horde battles and you have the equivalent of twenty hard earnt BP.
If you're using X and Y, I'd recommend using Wingull/Zubat/Tailow hordes, all of which are close together, with Zubats being in Connecting Cave and Tailow/Wingull appearing in Route 8 - just outside of Connecting Cave. It occasionally rains on Route 8 so you can't use Sweet Scent/Honey so Connecting Cave is a better alternative.
Alternatively, if you're playing ORAS you can use Tailow/Wingull/Zigzagoon at Route 104 for an EV yield of 1 Speed each. The Power item and Pokerus add up to 10EV each, still, though.

The following guides below really helped me become introduced to EV training when I first played X and Y. It contains the EV yields and locations for hordes to help you EV train your Pokemon quickly and also describes Pokerus, Power items, EV yields, etc. You'll also want Perfect IVs and team synergy, but that's another topic
Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire EV Training (in development
X and Y EV Training

Wow, that's a lot to take in. Thanks for the guides. Espeon's already got the perfect IVs I want in the stats needed, so I don't need to worry about that just yet.

I just tend to use vitamins and Super Training bags (if I have any for that specific stat) to just take off a few EVs here and there, anything to make it a bit quicker. But I will avoid getting vitamins in the future, I'll just focus on the Anklet which is 4 less BP. I'd be willing to trade for the Anklet, or just borrow it. But I do still need Pokerus, so if you have a Pokemon with Pokerus you can lend for a couple minutes, send a PM.

I wish I did have either, but I broke my copy of X/Y so I'm also looking for a Pokerus Pokemon. If you still need a Power Anklet after I finish the main story I'll buy one for you to lend because I'll need one myself.
Yeah, vitamins are useless - as the guide says. It's too much effort values going through 15 battles to get 20BP only to use it on vitamins when you can get the same amount of EVs in two quick battles.
Yeah, Super Training is good, too. Especially the bags which you can tap as you're hatching eggs, etc. And no problem for the guides, the guides helped me a ton and I wouldn't be as competitive as I am now without them

It's funny, I was doing Super Training and hitting the normal bag to get a Reset Bag, and I could only get up to 2 at a time because I have a bunch of Speed and Sp. Attack M and L bags that I couldn't discard XD

Basically the only thing I'm currently missing is a Pokerus Pokemon. I've got my Meganium from Professor Birch with Sweet Scent on it, Power Lens, a level 100 Pokemon with a mass-hitting move (Groudon with both Earthquake and Rock Slide for those pesky Flying types) and Espeon with wiped stats except for Sp. Attack.

You can always buy vitamins from that guy at Slateport City for Pok?money, but with ORAS EV Training has now gotten even easier because there are now locations that practically guarantees the appropriate POK?MON as they're the only obes that can be found in that specific location. I still wouldn't recommend vitamins though as at max they can only have off 2 battles in each stat, and as I mentioned before there's no need to worry about getting a wrong horde battle an having to keep trying again because there are areas with nearly a 100% rate of encountering them.

When I say specific locations, I'm referring to the Nugget Bridge ones.

As for a set, I recommend a Pok?mon with earthquake and discharge and if possible Sweet Scent. If it can't, get another POK?MON Sweet Scent and give it Pokerus and make sure it is always in the PC by midnight. For transfering it, turn off exp share, send out the hitter, and wait for the rest of the party to obtain it. Then, turn it back on, and give them the power items.

Thanks! I've already got some knowledge on EV training but I'm so glad that GameFreak made the encounters a 100% chance. Thought EV training was fast in XY? Nope, it just got faster.

Have you tried super training? If you stick with it you can max out a Pokemon's EVs before it's even level 2

Lol, if you say so. You don't get the EVs if you don't go out an fight anyway. It is actually much faster doing some super training then leveling up, instead of finding specific Pokemon with the EV stats that you're looking for.
Just sayin...

.. Look. If you're still looking for an EV hold item (Power Anklet, Power Bracer) I could happily spare one for you... If you're interested of course?

All things considered, with hordes, Pokerus and power items combined for EVs, it's pretty fast. There are 100% encounter rates for horde Pokemon in ORAS, so it shouldn't take too long. But if you do have time to get a Power Anklet I'd love one. :)

A Durant, eh? Hopefully it won't eat it (it probably will). I'll add you now.

You're taking forever to appear on my PSS XD

Are you going to send a trade? I don't know your ingame name but I thought you'd appear under Friends unless you haven't turned your wifi on.
