Er, some help, please?

So there's something wrong with my computer... Whenever you click on a certain icon.. It goes kind of transparent.. o-o

I have a Windows XP, and last night, my Internet wasn't working, it'd load, but you couldn't see anything... So i went into my Dad's account, and tried to scan it, i scanned it once, but it was kinda short for some reason, not sure if it scanned all the files. So i tried scanning it again, when i clicked on the icon, it went transparent. You can kind of see it, but it wouldn't open. The text on the start button also disappeared, aswell as the text on "My Pictures", "My Computer", etc.

Maybe it's a virus.
Just try retyping the names into the folders, idk about the start button.

Sounds like the program was loading and lagging your computer or something. >.> I don't know much about computers.

Happened to me on my old Windows 2000 before. I just said "lol, Windows". I think it got fixed when I restarted.

Control Panel / System / Advanced / Performance Tab / Settings Button and put a checkmark in: Use Drop Shadows for Icon Labels on the Desktop
