Any suggestions?

brought up a really good idea of making more of a Tim Burton town in general (y'know the creepy, gothy feel)
which I really like as well
villager ideas would be really appreciated ^_^

That sounds cool, but I'd go more for a full-on, all out Tim Burton inspired town. I mean, you'd have a lot more to work with and it would all work pretty well together since most of his stuff is dark, punk, goth-themed. For example, you could have Katt or Kiki be Catwoman and you could probably find a QR code for a Batman suit or something.

That's just my opinion, though.

You could have the kiddie set customized to the vitamin colour... ( is that the green and pink?) I haven't seen the movie in years but I think the houses were so 60/70 with avocado and pink furniture and walls.

You'd definitely need to get the wrought iron fence and make it into the castle...

Excellent inspired idea. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

The topiary PwP's would help with the illusion for sure! :D If I'm remembering the movie correctly, that is.

Yeah, that's what made me think of it haha ^_^

I was thinking about that, but the reason I was more thinking Edward Scissorhands was because of how easy doing the houses would be lol, and how bright Animal Crossing looks so it'd be hard to get a Tim Burton feel during the day

I also really enjoyed Sweeney Todd, but I think that would be hard to incorporate (during the day)

I really like the idea of Kiki being Catwoman

Put up pictures in the first post for those who haven't watched the movie can still get a kinda feel to it

I think that would make it even more awesome. I mean, think about it: The exterior of the houses are all bright pinks and yellows, and it's all bright and sunny out. Then a visitor walks into a house with rooms that look like something out of a horror movie. It'd be totally ironic just like a lot of Burton's work -- A Nightmare Before Christmas, Frankenweenie, etc.
I agree that Kiki would be a better Catwoman. Another idea is you could dress your character up in the skeleton mask and maybe some pinstripe stuff to look like Jack Skellington.

That's a fantastic idea, I would love to see a Scissorhands town, or any Tim Burton movie town. :D

I agree.
Focussing on just one particular movie sounds like a really complicated task,
chances are it will be frustrating and not as obvious as you'd like it to be.
Mmaybe you could mix in other Tim Burton movies?
The idea is great though!

I think making an Edward Scissorhands inspired town is a really unique and totally doable idea.

I like the idea of focusing on only ES instead of doing a Tim Burton town, because a Burton town might end up looking like a generic horror/spooky town.

Your mayor could be Edward, with a spooky castle. Maybe a secondary character could be Winona in a pastel girly house.
You'd need the street qr codes, street lamps and signs PWPs, lots of topiaries, maybe one in front of each house and many outside Edward's.

You'd have to choose villagers that also have pastel colored houses and plot reset to get them lined up.

It would be a lot of work but totally cool if done right. I haven't seen the movie in a while but I'm sure you plan on watching it again and could get more ideas.

I would flip out if I randomly discovered a well done ES town in the dream suite!

Ahh, all these ideas ^_^

I'm thinking about going out and buying a new copy of new leaf rather than reset mine
