*EDIT* corrupted month?

Editing my original post, where everytime I tried to start my game {on two different 3ds consoles} I got the "error" message and it wouldn't start, everything seems to be fine in my town if I go before or after the month of November. But my game will not load at any point in November, even when I tried to reset my town.

Is it safe to assume then I should exchange my catridge as that could be what's causing it? If anyone has advice on this it would be greatly appreciated! ^-^

Im sure you have , but have you tried taking the game and trying again?

Yes :/ I should add I tried to use it on my boyfriends ds and it still does the same thing, I also tried to hold down the 4 buttons to reset it but it won't work at all :/

I'm probably not going to get my town back, but I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to at least hard reset it so I can use it again :/

is the metal strip on the cartridge damaged?
i've heard of some people licking it and drying it off quickly works for games when data can't be read.
i'm not 100% that would work or not, but if you're willing to try anything i don't see why not.

do you hack at all?
if so you may have bricked your cartridge.

System update won't have any effect on physical copy as far as i know, idk i might be wrong but it's more likely not effecting game cart. Like kittyinpink said, have you tried ejecting the game cart and try again?

If your game doesn't work on your 3DS or your boyfriend's, I'm afraid this has nothing to do with the update. Your cartridge somehow got damaged.

No hacking done on this cartridge :/

I've changed the date on his to July and it works, but when I try to go back on my other ds it says error again. So it is possible to work, but now I just have to figure out how to get it to past July ><

Though it can be confirmed anything after the month of July will not load >< worst case looks like it'll be summer all the time in my town haha
