Easter eggs in May???

Not quite sure if i should be posting in this thread, but I’m seeing Easter eggs popping up on my island. Is this happening to anyone else? For info, I TT a lot but i try to stay within the same month as real time. Earlier i did TT to June on accident but went back to May. It was fine until I TT a few days backward in May, and suddenly eggs started showing up. I’m pretty sure the egg event was only in April?? These eggs are a nuisance lol, I did TT two days ahead and they are still appearing.

no I TT'd plenty of times in and out of easter egg season. Pretty sure they wouldn't purposely implement things like this just to mess with TTers. They're usually pretty direct about calling it out i.e. Resetti

I was in April of 2021 a while ago and had no issues. Your screenshots show that someone buried eggs from earlier basically or you have a weird glitch I’ve never heard of lol.

Is it only these eggs showing up? If you're not getting any from fishing, slingshots, or trees, I'm leaning towards someone maybe pranking you if that's an option? Lots of people TT, and I'm sure they were TTing around the Easter event (especially since it overlapped with the cherry blossom stuff). I don't think these two things would be related and then unmentioned for this long.

I haven’t tried shaking trees or fishing mainly because I’m not focusing on those things as I tt lol also it didn’t occur to me I was digging stone eggs from the ground instead of earth eggs...
I also assumed it was a friend just trying to mess with me, but they weren’t and eggs were spawning in different spots when I TT. I’m pretty sure it’s some weird glitch from Nintendo but I hate seeing these eggs man
