Anyone know where i can find a copy of earthbound cheap.

All i have seen are copies over $100!

And i don't wanna use a rom!

honestly.. the game is pretty heavily hyped, imo. there's better games you could buy with the money you'd spend getting earthbound.

I don't really understand why the mother series has such a huge/awesome/dedicated fanbase, but it does.

good luck finding one at a good price, regardless :)

Buying rare games is for collectors, not for people who actually want to play them. So please, don't waste your money and time chasing after game cartridges that were made before you were born.

We're quickly approaching a time when most Super Nintendo games will have non-functioning batteries, too.

though I've heard of being able to change out the batteries for yourselves... i'm sure it's very risky, and not worth it.

speed runs are more fun anyway. :p

I know that you can switch the batteries out, but I'm not too sure that there is all that much risk involved so long as you have a basic knowledge of soldering. That and some money. I don't think you can really break the game further once the battery dies by trying to replace it.

if you mess up the game itself.. I'd say you could break it further than just being unable to save.

messing up the rom/game data in the process of fixing the battery, is what I meant

also, ahahaha oh wow that statement is so definite of me. "i'm sure it's very risky, and not worth it"

eh.

earthbound copys cost a pretty penny and are rare like the people ^ if you get your hands on one its mostly for collectors you are better off using a emulater really or garage sells but then there not in the best contain sorry i kind of got off topic from the people above me XD
