EA Launching Digital Distribution Service to Rival Steam

I would agree that they would fail except for the part where EA has a large catalog of game franchises behind them and if they force exclusives on only their platform they could steal from Steam easily. Not sure about other titles but so far they have said that Bioware Star Wars MMO will be exclusive to Origin.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! HA..... *Dies because he laughs himself to death*.

it'll stay up until it starts to cost too much
then it'll have a subscription fee or something

it won't die, but it won't fail

it'll just take a few MMO star wars fans, think. meh.

I've never really liked EA. Some of their games are meh. Steam will probably come out on top of this, however. In terms of PC gaming, people tend to favor valve more than other companies. Valve really has never created anything bad, while EA on the other hand.

Well actually EA tend to be the publishers for games, rather than the ones that are developing it.

valve did half life
the newer games aren't what they're so popular for, they're popular for one game that most of us/this generation didn't play until recently/steam
they are currently popular for the hat simulator known as team fortress 2, the rehash that is left 4 dead 2, and babby's first puzzle game, portal 2. (now with co op multiplayer fun for all!)

steam's great, valve's alright, but they aren't what they used to be (sadly)
