Okay I have a DS Lite. On my ACWW game, when I have my character run, the graphics are all weird and it makes me go blind. On the original DS, it doesn't do that.

How many of you know what I mean?

If you do anwser my question that I have... Does the DSi do this also? Because I want one but I don't want it to be like the DS Lite with the graphics.

It's not the cartridge because I played the same game on my old bulky DS and it didn't make my eyes hurt and the graphics were good.

I like the DS Lite for GBA games too. I'm keeping it for GBA games.

I have had all 3, and the DSi is definitely the best, even though it doesn't play GBA :(

If the graphics hurt your eyes then lower the brightness. Simple. That's what I do when my eyes hurt while playing any DS system.

No, the DSi doesn't do that. The DSi actually makes DS games better, especially the older ones. MKDS looks extremely nice on the DSi and it doesn't look pixely.

DS Lite:
Pros:
- Has the longest battery life: It took me a while to deplete it, like around 19 hours on the lowest brightness setting!
- GBA support, plus the E-reader device is compatible (which the original DS doesn't let it).

Cons:
- Had to shut and boot up everytime I change game
- Cracked hinge issue (happens mostly on white DSL)

DSi:
Pros:
- DSiWare and DSi Only games support
- Enable DSi enhanced games
- SD Card support
- Updatable firmware (altough it isn't updated as often as the Wii does)
- Two cameras (low quality, but is an OK inclusion)

Cons:
- No support for GBA games
- Lowered battery life (DSi XL have increased battery life but only available in Japan right now)
- Most DSiWares out now are OK, but the library is getting better over time

I have both DSi and DSL, but I prefer DSi since the GBA library is no longer growing.

I've tried that. The graphics still hurt my eyes :(

The graphics are exactly the same on all DS models... The only difference is the brightness and screen size. It's not the graphics that's hurting your eyes. It's probably all in your head.

No just the way the graphics are. I can't explain it. I'd have to show you.... which obviosuly I can't.

And no it's NOT all in my head cuz I play with my bulky DS and my eyes don't hurt at all. I have my DSL brightness set on the lowest and it still hurts my eyes. My Original DS doesn't hurt my eyes one bit.

Very interesting Do you play for long periods of time on the ds because I use to when it first came out play more or less most my batteries and suffer major headaches and eye strain, but cuting back and takeing say a 10min brake took the problem right away maybe it might help.

I am not exactly sure about your situation, i mean it's hard to understand something 'graphic' when you can only explain with 'words'. I don't know if it's the problem of your game tape or the problem of your DS lite.

Game tape, i don't know if it's refund or exchangeable. I guess it depends on the store.

For DS lite, here's my case: The "(L) left button" is not working. I got the DS lite within a year, so I still have the one year warranty. I get to replace a new one, just got it this Friday!

Try putting it down for awhile.
The only problem is if you play in poor light etc.
this whole 'Graphics hurting my eyes' thing is just plain crap Since the Graphics are not effected by the type of DS since the games contain the graphics and the DS doesnt (jeez). This IS in your head.
Try changing the lighting in the room and on the DS and dont strain your eyes so much.

Also i find the DSi is better than the other two, not just because of the obvious, but the battery time, Backlight and the sound are all wonderfull.

I haven't had that happen with my DS Lite...

Gonna wait a while to see if something else comes out after the DSi so I can just skip that one... But I do wish I could get the DSiWares on my DS Lite! :>

I like the DS Lite better, as I still like to play those GBA games with a light. :P [/doesn't have an SP]
