Dream Suite might be heading to Animal Crossing: New Horizons

A fan-favorite feature from Animal Crossing: New Leaf could be making a triumphant return in soon, according to limited information found inside a datamine of Version 1.2 for Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

I would be so happy if it does, though I wonder if it would be an airport feature, like inside it? A lot of people's islands are already full and are worrying about building placement. Hmm...

I hope so! That was one of the big features I was hoping for cause I never got to see new leaf when the game had just come out and all the towns were probably looking great. Especially now, when we can customize our whole island, that would be great

We'll just have to change things up, there's barely any buildings as is, no different from New Leaf where you'd also unlock buildings and PWPs overtime and find ways to incorporate them, and move things around.
Only difference is that we don't know what's coming later on which is frustrating, but oh well.
I suppose they could add a second floor to the airport, but it wouldn't make sense, and again the town needs more functional buildings imo.
(Or they could just have you go to bed, and be transported to a dream version of the dreamsuite where Luna could be).

i would absolutely love this! being able to have someone explore your island/explore someone else's island without any stresses around hosting, unpleasant interactions, items/flowers being touched...it would be so nice. especially as someone with really bad social anxiety, i want people to be able to see my island without myself having to be there and acting as host. i do hope it's a feature built into an existing building and not its own building, though!

Aside from the campsite though, those buildings you unlock weren't ON your town, they already had fixed places above your town. Now they have to be placed somewhere where a spot isn't established for them so it's different. I wouldn't mind more buildings but I think they are waiting too long to add them if they were going to.

I'd love the Dream Suite to return! In all honesty, I think I'd like all the businesses from New Leaf to make a comeback in some fashion. Maybe apart from Nook Homes though, that could be developed in the Residential Services area I suppose.

It could take years to unlock the police station, we only knew about it because the Japanese had the game way before us, and maybe guides, but unlocking the station were completely random, took me at least half a year to unlock it, some over a year, and some just never unlocked it, it might have changed with the amiibo update though.
I do think Nintendo should release a roadmap for the game though, at least things we might have to work around, even something as simple as bushes made me redesign my entire island, so yeah that's already way more work than even a few buildings would make me have to change up.

I really hope it comes back. My favorite thing in NL was to visit peoples' towns in the Dream Suite, especially those that were themed around an animal species or horror themed towns. I'm really upset we can't do that in NH so I hope it comes back sooner than later.

You upload your island for others to visit through a dream, it's basically a way for you to go to others islands to get inspiration, or show your island off to the world, it was my favourite thing to do in new leaf.

Basically it allowed you to visit a 'dream' version of your town and gave you a code to share. People could use the code to visit your town at any time without you needing to be active and open gates and invite them. All shops would be closed and you would be taken there with no items, but you could pick stuff up, chop trees, do whatever, and none of it saved to your town or theirs.

It was a big feature, people made 'story' towns for the purpose of visiting them via Dream Suite and experiencing this story set out in the town.
