can i ask what the point of the dream place is as iv just got it but it appears all i can do is look around
if i harvest fruit or dig up items i cannot obviously bring them back
not 100% sure what i would need to go there for

any clarification would be great
cheers

It is just for to look arround and getting ideas for your own town.
And you can get patterns from the owner of that town.

It would be nice to have a bit more functionality to it. Still, its pretty cool to check out other peoples towns, get some ideas for yourself, a few patterns and every time you update you get 5000 bells too.

I just wish you could leave feedback when you visit other towns. It just makes me not even want to use the Dream Suite, knowing that people will visit my town, but never have any way to leave feedback or even contact me at all!

This bothers me too. I've been to so many cute towns and I'd love to let the owners know how pretty or well done I thought their town was. It would also be cool if you could see who all of your visitors are. I always visit whoever has visited me last (because that's the only one you get informed of).

sorry for noob questions but how do u get the patterns and how do i update to get the bells?

You update by climbing onto the couch/love seat inside the dream suite. Luna will then ask if you want to update, to which you will say yes. Perhaps this confusion stems from the fact that you don't get the bells the first time you upload your town. If you've already gone through the process, do it again tomorrow and you will get your 5000 bells.

EDIT: Forgot to answer the patterns question. If the owner of the town you've dreamt your way into has allowed visitors to take patterns, Wendell will be in the town somewhere. You should bump into him eventually if he's there.

I like going to dream towns to get ideas, maybe patterns, but I like meeting the villagers. I have the Prima guidebook, but there aren't any pictures of the animals. I also have a Japanese guidebook, but I don't speak it. I look thru this book and write the 'English' name of the animal in it.
