So, if you have all your dreamies, or if you are hunting for a dreamy like Hazel, what's the downside of replaying the same day over and over again? I came up with three, but there must be more. I'll try to update the OP with a list.

1. Nothing new in shops
2. Can't build more than 1 PWP
3. Can't expand home
4. Trees/new fruit/bushes won't grow
5. No new hybrids will breed
6. No new visitors - Katie, Redd, Katrina...
7. No new events
8. No KK Slider or Joan unless you happen to stay on that day.
9. Only one new emotion from Shrunk
10. Can only work for Brewster once.
11. Mail may become an issue, though you can still receive by reloading before 5pm.

I think those are about it! There's not much else to do during the same day except fish and catch bugs I suppose

Sometimes it messes up the mail, depending on the hours you've chosen.
You can't work for Brewster more than once.
If it's a Saturday, you can only get one bootleg from KK Slider.

I've replayed the same day, but there are no benefits to it unless you're delaying someone moving out or unless you have daily tasks to finish.

The benefits are definitely about the villagers. How does it mess up the mail exactly though? If I keep loading before 5pm and playing past it or reloading after 5pm, I think I get all my mail. It's extra work, but I think you can do it? Is that right?

Yes, you get all your mail! However, it's like I said in that other thread, sometimes if you send or are expecting multiple letters from the same villager, if they arrive all at once, they can be confusing. Sometimes I haven't even gotten replies because of TTing within the same day. I think you'd have to be very organised about keeping track of the time. I know many people don't care about mail, though. :)

But.. But.. Why would you play the same day over and over? :( Just so you can keep your dreamies?

Some people do that for that reason, yes, and other times it's because they don't want a random move-in so they play the same day until they can adopt a villager from another town.

Personally, I've played the same day over and over a few times. Usually it's because I haven't finished daily tasks that I enjoy or had to visit villagers but didn't have time. The other reason why I've done it (but only once) was because I had a villager who was moving out and was having a hard time finding someone to adopt her.

I think it also depends on what season. For example like when the cherry blossoms fall, people want to stay on that day so they can save their DAs that way. Or they're saving a certain villager in boxes, or a certain turnip price for others to sell. Other times, it's because they wanna catch a certain bug or fish. My friend did that since she missed out on catching the tarantula so she stayed on that last day they appeared for like 3 days until she finally caught one.

I'm not entirely sure though since I don't often just stay on one day completely. I sometimes play a whole week over and over, because I wanna build a pwp faster or try to get a certain item to appear in Gracie's shop, but other than that playing one day over and over seems kinda tedious.

I usually replay days when I haven't had a villager ping for 2 or 3 days. I just get so paranoid that someone is going to move out, so I over visit all my villagers with more than one character before I can talk myself into loading a new day!

You'll get sick of the current season. This happened to my friend in ww, something happened to her game and her game couldn't load to the next day, so it was the same day everyday. Her game was in January 1st, 2011, and she said she got sick of the music/snow really fast.

Yes, I didn't really mean it as a permanent solution to a problem:) Just wondered what the trade-offs were when stalling your game to take care of your villagers or look for new ones.
