Dotty or Ruby?

Somewhat silly thread, but I see ones like it all the time and always enjoy them, so hopefully okay.

my campsite villager is Dotty (I have really great campsite luck)

early on in the game I really wanted her, now not so sure (my tastes have evolved a bit, but still find her quite cute). Right now, even though I don’t plan for most of my villagers to be permanent I really like them all and the island has a good vibe.

I have three bunnies and two peppies, so I decided if she moves in then probably it makes the most sense to replace ruby with her. I love Ruby (she’s so cute and spacey), but I do have her picture and was considering letting her move sometime in the future (but had not decided how far in the future it would be).

Should I replace Ruby with Dotty?

or feel free to suggest one of my other villagers. I have:

Ruby is adorable, but I think Dotty is worth the swap! However, she's a favorite of mine, so I'm biased haha. I just find Dotty's facial animations and overall design to be really adorable. She's one of the best bunny villagers imo, even though all of them are really great!

I love Dotty, her face is very animated and expressive so she's got loads of personality. She's a pleasure to have around.

I say invite Dotty - it’s always fun to meet new villagers and give them a chance (not to mention get their picture for collector’s purposes). BUT, if you think you’ll regret your decision later, I’d say keep Ruby (then again, you can always trade for her or get her amiibo card, though it won’t be the same Ruby from your town).

I had Dotty in one of the older AC games but don’t remember anything aside from that. If I had five more spots, she’d maybe be one of the five I’d invite since I’d like to have some memory of her besides just having her in my village in a game I don’t remember playing much. I never had Ruby but I think she’s really cute as well .

Seeing as you already have Ruby's photo, plus imo Dotty is the better rabbit, I would definitely go for it, keeps things on your island fresh too by having a new face!

Update: I was talking to Dotty and she asked about staying pretty quickly. we played the game and I won on the first try, and then the first person she suggested was Ruby, so it all kind of lined up and I went for it. I’m going to go cry in Ruby’s house now...and try and pick up Ruby’s amiibo in the future if I can find it cheap enough.

I will miss you Ruby!
