Being a guy, this is quite the dilemma. Sorta. I mean, if I do, nobody's gonna see, but still. Dignity.

You could always wear the lucky hats Katrina sells (when you have her shop, she offers one of them sometimes) - rather ugly & I can't remember their names (Celebration hat? one red, one green? Memory def going). They work instead of any lucky item she suggests you wear.
10K bells to buy a hat off her, but orderable so you could trade for one (& they are cheap to re-order).

Anyways, it's not like it really matters if you wear the lucky items or not.
