...or is it just kinda random and fun? Post your town name with it's story!

Ethereal is a deep, lush forest, with twinkling fireflies always dancing around at night. It's serene and quiet, the air is crisp and fresh.
Dimi is the mayor of this little forest. His home is a cozy cabin and everything looks to be built of cedarwood. He is kind to all villagers and visitors in Ethereal.
Lena and Scamp are twin mischievous forest sprites. Scamp, the brother, enjoys harvesting all of the fresh fruit. Which isn't bad in itself; if only he would share it!
Lena, the sister, tramples over the flowers, and surrounds the public with pits.
Despite their antics, Dimi makes sure to keep Ethereal thriving.

Yes I love these threads~!

Lorien is a small but bustling University town, with many young students and a fresh young mayor to fit the bill!
It boasts lush and diverse nature areas to help anyone from anywhere feel comfortable in this melting pot of a town.
Emi is a student at Lorien University, hoping to earn her credentials to eventually teach there
She has a sister, Fei, who wants to open a bakery in town, but she hasn't found just the right spot yet.
And Quinn, an alum, moved back into town to open up a small hotel/resort in hopes of helping his hometown thrive with tourism(It worked!)

Aconite is a small forest town hidden by an invisibilty/protection spell to protect the rare creatures who live there.
Ellowyn is the Mayor, Coven leader, and local White Witch who placed the protection spell. She welcomes any and all magical creature to her town, so long as they don't cause trouble.
Her twin, Esmeray, took a darker route, though still a noble one. She found herself enamoured by the dead and is now caretaker to the towns cemetery... be careful though, it's not as still there as you'd think!
Liyana lives deep in the enchanted forest, mixing potions and helping the plants to thrive. We don't have a hospital here and we don't need one, Liyana can cure anything that ails you~

Not really. I just liked the name "Ecruteak" because I'm completely uncreative with names and stole it from Pokemon.

Rosebud is a cosy little town, but curious things have started to happen. Where the central of the town is surrounded by blooming flowers, the other side of the town is outgrown with a dark forest and for some reason, no one seems to stay there for long. Mayor Mimzy looks after the villagers with a smile on her face, but she has noticed weird things creeping in the main village too... In the forest only the bravest villagers dare to live, and professor Sylva is investigating something mysterious in her laboratory.

I had no idea what I wanted Rosebud to be like for a long while so its now slowly forming its shape. There's tad too many villagers in the "dangerous" side of the town now as I hadn't really planned the spots for their houses before I knew I wanted to do with the village. As there is bit of a Night Vale vibe in Rosebud, I was thinking that I might also build a community centre with a radio station but we'll see about that - I am currently concentrating on the exteriors of Rosebud, and the interiors are very much work in progress.

Taiga is an old city, inhabited over 1000 years ago. However, it has only been in the last 50 that it has been of any significance. Located on an island far up north just below the tree line, it was historically used to supply ships making the dangerous journey through the nearby passage. Fleets of ships were a common sight, so that if one was sunk by an iceberg, the other could rescue the crew. Despite this, medieval technology meant deaths were common and the area was nicknamed the "Passage to Heaven".

About 300 years ago an earthquake hit the town, killing the majority of its inhabitants. Most survivors abandoned the town and it fell into disrepair. The supposed curse of Taiga became legend, and as generations passed the stories became more and more fantastical. It was believed that the waters were haunted, and that is what caused the earthquake. In reality, the city was located in the middle of a fault line and an event like this was almost inevitable. Small communities still existed elsewhere on the island, but their people numbered in the mere hundreds.

About 50 years ago, a significant amount of oil was discovered in Taiga. With natural resources depleted in many other areas, a discovery like this was massive. Though a war over the island was expected at the time, miraculously no one was harmed. Ownership of the island was contested, but eventually a deal was made. Taiga's population boomed and it became a modern city.

Eventually oil reserves dried up. The city was fine though. It had managed to become a popular tourist destination thanks to its rich history and geothermal activity. Since it was located in the middle of a fault line, geysers and hot springs were plentiful, as was cheap energy. It seemed the very thing that caused the earthquake centuries prior had become the city's lifeline. Today Taiga is a hub of technology and robotics, and is looking toward a bright future.

Serenity:
The last thing you can remember is going on a walk in the forest near your home town, talking to a friend on your phone while searching for flowers. Now you found yourself in front of a large townhall-like building, surrounded by mushrooms and dark pine trees. A set of clothes lie next to you with a small note reading "put these on, you arent safe once you leave the ring". You could have sworn you saw someone with what looked like glued on wings rush into a small cottage not too far from the building.

After quickly changing into the clothing which resembled a halloween costume, and assessing the situation you decide to head out and investigate.

You learn about serenity and the fairy queen who oversees the forest, holding a strong hatrid for humans who try to find their way and steal from the forest. The other villagers tend to tell stories of evil humans who once tried to kidnap their families to sell back home only to never find a way back out. What happened to them all is unknown, but some villagers are adamant that one human still hides in the forest to this day. You think back to the mysterious figure from earlier and wonder if maybe they were the human and wanted to protect you.

A small part of the forest is burned to the crisp and is home to a dragon and Phoenix. At the very end is rumored to be a natural spring and spa run by a magician. Very few have ever been able to withstand the heat long enough to make it there, however.

Despite the fear of being caught and dark trees everywhere, the forest is very pleasant and its residents are far from mean or evil.

Mariland:
My sweet piano created a little town for her and all of her other sanrio friends to live!

Ereta is the name of a made up town I did a while ago. The town based off it was very enclosed; making hard for travellers and people in the town to leave or go in at all, having guards with weapons around the forest keeping guard. The town itself is very natural.

The Ereta town of Animal crossing is just a natural town :) The characters have stories though.
The Mayor (Lyric) where's an eye patch for a reason I won't bring up yet. Moves away from her family, finds it hard to talk to her parents and wanted to move away and start anew, though she's new to life by herself and gets caught up in a lot of problems. But she always glows with pride.

Samantha - She used to come to Ereta when she was young and enjoyed playing there and having fun with Toritmer. After hearing that he has stopped being the mayor and someone new has taken his place, she rushed onto the train to move there so she can help the new mayor keep it the way it always has been. She sometimes finds it hard to talk with Lyric, but over time she understands her a bit more every time.

Piper - She was born with such a horrible memory that she forgets things very easily. Samantha and Lyric having to remind her who they are and where she is sometimes. She carries many portraits so she won't forget people. She fears she might forget entirely and move on to a new town, as she has done so many times before.

(not yet named male) Came to Ereta in hopes for a town that was chill and so he felt safe. So far I havent gotten a good story for him yet, but he hides secrets and people believe he was once on the run.

if my towns name wasnt "my butt" because i thought it was funny a few years ago i would totally give my town a story lmao

My first town has my favorite things. Marie antoinette lives there and so does Coraline.

My second town is meant to be mystical so I have a witch and a rainbow girl with a rainbow house lol

Do you have a dream address? I'd love to see your town!

My town's story...

4 Fairies in the form of contrasting girls possess a forest, and hides it from the natural world. Every so often, animals stumble into the forest and become lost. They temporarily live alongside the fairies to discover something within themselves that was missing. Once they do, they can find their way out and ask if they can leave...

...But once they ask to leave, they cannot turn back - And the enchanted forest disappears from their very eyes...

It's kind of like the realm of Spirited Away, only light-hearted!

Yumeno is simply a quaint town where people come to relax at the Yume Inn and look at the picturesque scenery. We have the mayor, Juan, who is the boss of the local police station, and the second one is Rue, the innkeeper and the oldest person available in Yumeno
