Does TTing backwards count?

so i need to cycle 16 to get my recently-moved Flurry back, and i would like to get it over with as soon as possible (hopefully by the end of the weekend).

i understand that within 5 days you're safe, etc. but with all this TTing forward (probably by a good few months), will i be able to TT back to the present day without it effecting my game? because apparently TTing backwards only counts as one day? is this true? sorry if that sounds confusing; thanks to all who answer^-^

but if it's a long tt backwards = 1 day

No matter whether you TT back one day, or TT back 99 years.. It'll still only count as one day.. The best time to do a backwards TT is when a villager is in boxes moving IN .. That way you won't get any sudden moves out (unless a villager was already planning to move)
