Does time traveling work if you go backwords and forwards?

If I wanted to stay in the same month say but still do the campsite method would it work if I 1went backwords ten days and then forwards ten days and repeat or would forwards forwards backwards forwards forwards work? Or what would work better

You can go back and forth yes, you'll just go through the same days again with the same npcs coming.
A lot of people when they have celeste will go back and forth to get all the DIYS.

yes it does. going backward would not trigger isabelle's dialogue. if you stay in the same week you'll have the same NPC for the week.

If you do anything and save the game, going back and forth doesn't change it, it will stay. And you will go through the same week again.
Sorry if that's still confusing lmao maybe someone else should explain it.

I always go forward when I do the campsite method even if I reach 2021 and beyond. It's more convenient for me that way.

It is possible to go back (let's say the date when you start TT'ing) but the appearance of the campsite would still be random, not the same.
Like for example, you got a camper on July 8 then you went all the way to the end of July, then went backwards to the start of July, it won't be guaranteed that you will get a camper on July 8 again and if in case, you do, it would be a different villager.
