This is about villager photos and what methods work. I have been using the fill your bag/give them fruit/get gift in the mail method. Haven't gotten a photo this way in a bit, is it just rng or did they change it again? I really wish they would tell us when they change these things. Thanks

The stacking method doesn’t work anymore with fruits. The value of the item has to be minimum 750 so you could use giant clams for that purpose.

They changed it in the last update, for some utterly inexplicable reason.

That was the method I used, now I'm using the wrapped stack of fruit method- giving everyone a wrapped stack of 3 (though I've heard 2 works) exotic fruit every day. Haven't had any luck yet, but I've only just started.

Oh, right, that works too! I just find the wrapped stacks of fruit easier, since giant clams are a hassle to find.

I just got Pekoe's photo yesterday by giving her 3 wrapped pumpkins several days in a row. I also talk to her multiple times per day and previously gifted her a lot of fruit and a few giant clams or clothing items.
