Does the game eventually let you have every single villager?

I was just wondering, let's say I keep all my villagers from moving except 1 or 2, will I be able to cycle through every villager on the list, or is the game programmed to forcibly give me characters according to personality types? I was just wondering ^^; I want some specific villagers, but I hope it won't be near impossible.

The game mainly tries to balance the personalities when your town is first being populated. It may still attempt balance when you get down to 8, but the campsite is pretty much random and not governed by what personalities you have. I have three normals and still get normal campers. Because there are so many ways to get villagers, it's possible to get every single villager, and someone here even had that goal.

Depending on what specific villagers you want, you can probably adopt them from somebody here. It's kind of hard to get the very popular or the very unpopular, because there is a lot of competition for the former and a lot of instant voiding of the latter.

Thanks for the reply . I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard that once a villager has moved, the game stores it so that you cant get that character again until you cycle through all the characters or something like that, so I thought it was possible in some way. Its been hard to get my last 2 dreamies due to price and popularity ^^; It also feels rewarding to have earned it by chance.

you have to cycle through only 16 villagers to get them again so along the way if you tried to have all the villagers eventually you'll probably run into a familiar face.

I plan on meeting them all, even if it's in someone else's town
