Does loading game add to grass wear?

I just started playing and am kinda paranoid about becomeing less and less. I tend to play short periods of times throughout the day and in CF, loading your town/saving was the main cause of grass deterioration. So I'm kind of scared I might be causing it.

I'm 98% sure that grass wear is caused by actually walking/running on the grass. I TT and log on everyday with multiple save files and my grass is nearly intact.

I remember there have been people who've said that before on threads, but I'm not sure that's true. So far the only reason why grass wear happens in my town is because I'm walking or running in those areas. Other areas like near my campsite and wisteria trellis don't show any signs of grass wear. Villagers of course can affect grass wear too though. I don't usually walk in the area in front of Benjamin, Whitney, and Bianca's houses but grass is deteriorating, just not as much as when I'm walking on the main paths. I don't believe just logging on does anything at all and if it is, it's very minuscule in New Leaf so don't worry too much about it. Come winter everything is regrown anyways due to snow fall.
