Honestly, ice is my favorite type ever and it's weak to so many types it's crazy. I don't understand why it's weak to dark and steel. Also, it should be resistant to water.

The only upside it had was that it could fend off dragons, but with the inclusion of the fairy type the ice type is now worthless.

It's not weak to dark lol. The issue is that they make most ice types bulky when it's defensively a ****ty type, and there i only a few offensive ice types out there like Weavile that are actually good. It's a really good offensive type, they need to quit makng mons like Warein and Lapras, and mre like Mamoswine ad Weavile.

I'm pretty sure it isn't weak to dark but... I can kinda see how it's weak to steel. Imagine a giant steel block dropped from a high distance onto an ice sculpture. BAM ITS DED

Ice is still a way for water types to have better coverage. On its own I guess it isn't great offensively.

I feel it should be super effective against water imho

this, I am forever confused as to why Water is only normally affected by Ice moves...
steel is a dumb type and it's dumb that steel affects ice so badly...

Water resists ice...

Why does that matter?
Water is SE against Fire, Rock, and Ground. It's resisted by Dragon, Grass, and Water. Ice doesn't fit in here and water is a great type already.

woops guess its not weak to dark my bad...

Anything dropped from a high distance onto an ice sculpture will break it :/

Because I don't want my water pokemon to be blocked by dragon and grass types?

Anyway...

I kinda understand the steel thing, ice as a material in general is weaker. A steel skyscraper stands taller than an igloo and an icicle isn't a suitable weapon against a steel dagger.

Fighting strikes me as an odd weakness for ice types though. Rock types being weak to fighting might makes sense since people doing martial arts might break bricks but punching ice sounds like a strange thing to do, my hands get numb just making a snowball without gloves.

Pokemon makes no sence. Fighting is good against Steel? and Ice? Fighting should be not effective against them

I just imagined it like using a steel pickaxe or something. Yeah, that's it.
