Does anyone have any tips on getting villagers to move?

To all those cyclers out there, what is your 'technique' to getting villagers to move? I need help on getting Celia to move out for someone.

Villager's are selected to move out randomly. Your behavior towards them has nothing to do with it.

Try this, dear. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jIuEm8Bq9I (Basically, create a new character, talk to her ONCE, talk to everyone else as usual. She should be out within a week.)

I've also seen many people use the "two days forward, two days back" method of TTing, and they usually get someone to ping saying they'd like to leave. It's harder to get a specific villager to want to move out that way, though.
