does anyone else never get meteor showers?

Same here. I only found a day some time in July while TTing to move villagers out. It seems like that there are specific dates where there would be meteor showers since some people mention how they always get it when they time travel to the same day. I wonder if anything has been changed this update to prevent this from being abused though since I saw how someone mentioned that you can no longer travel to past dates to have an npc be present in your town when they were present on that day.

I think whenever Celeste shows up, a meteor shower will definitely appear. The problem is the frequency of the showers. Once I saw 2 stars and nothing for the rest of the night....and I missed them because I was terraforming. So you might be having them but missing them, as they can be quite sneaky.

I've had a few nights of like 2-3 stars, but never a meteor shower and I'm on around day 75 in game  (I don't think meteor showers happen if you replay days though so that might be why. I haven't been more than a week ahead of current time)

ive had celeste once and when she showed up even after many hours i didnt see or hear a single shooting star :(

You're not alone. I've only ever seen three shooting stars and only actually had time to wish on one, so I feel like I'm doing something wrong.

Celeste is still present if you tt back to the same day.
Meteor showers too I think I saw some shooting stars in the sky but I'm not sure if that was the shower or just luck.

but don't you hear the shooting star before you see it? i've been listening for that cue at night and haven't heard any.

I seem to almost always have some kind of clouds so myself only seen one meteor shower and wasn’t announced but one of those rare clear nights for me. Celeste seem to show up in any weather for me so doesn’t seem to guarantee meteor shower. But if someone does have a meteor shower seems like celeste is there. So it seem to work one way not both xD. Luckily can visit friends for their xD

I was talking about particularly when Isabelle announces the shower in the morning announcement since only a few shooting stars appear when there is no announcement. Did get Celeste though, but only a few shooting stars.

i've had three meteor showers and had the game since launch, i don't think i've ever heard of a shooting star before! i just go to a clear area of my island and look up at the sky, i can usually wish for like 2 hours before i get bored and move on - and usually get around 10-20 star fragments the next day.

I've never seen a meteor shower or met Celeste despite all of my time travelling, I guess I have really bad luck.

it's been like a month since my last and only one. only had celeste once too and thats WITH time traveling

I think there is a cue but I'm usually not paying attention lol. What I meant about the frequency is some people will get near constant amount of stars (which has never happened for me) and some might get like, 2 stars a night. If night is like, 7 pm to 5 am and you've missed those 2, it would seem like there's no shower at all. Which stinks.

Been playing since day one and never seen a meteor shower,

Had Celeste here once

I’ve had Celeste on my island 4-5 times, but I’ve had a total of 2 meteors this past month. Not meteor showers, literally 2 stars.
