Doctor Who tonight

For all of us Brits, the last Time Lord returns to our screens, hopefully with the new companion in tow! 6.15pm BBC One, I know there's at least one other Doctor Who fan here (Emrys)

Yay! Doctor Who! I'll be watching it tonight for sure and I'm really curious about that new assistant.

I'd watch it, but I don't have the channel and my only source to watch Doctor Who from is Netflix, and it doesn't have anything from season 7 on it yet so I'm going to have to wait.

I'm really looking forward to this. I caught up with all the revived series, so now it's time to wait for new episodes. The Snowmen was really good.

I have a lot of admittedly somewhat harsh opinions on the way Doctor Who's been in the recent past, but hopefully we can remain optimistic for this half season! It can't be too bad... right?

Yeah, it's a half season. It's still series 7, since they showed like five or so episodes and the Ponds left, then went on their ridiculously long hiatus. There's still eight more episodes to go, at least.

Oh of course now I remember. A few years ago it'd be unheard of for a companion to leave in anything but a series finale!

TBH I don't even keep up with the format of Doctor Who I just watch the episodes in their order.. xD

Yeah the first half of the season (5 episodes) ran pretty much through September of last year. Not including the two Christmas specials (2011 and 2012) which seem to count as season 7 as well. The format's a mind****

I guess it's not so much a half season but rather a continuation of the season that should've still been going xD
Either way, it's more Doctor Who and that's all that matters Though I will be missing the Doctor's old jacket. This new one has a peculiar colour to me.

You know nothing of ridiculously long hiatuses XD Look at Breaking Bad. Season 5 was split in half, and the second half is starting this July. It's a year long hiatus >.>

As much as I liked the Ponds, I'm glad there's a new assistant. I really like Clara as a character so I'm hoping something big happens with her. ^_^

Well, I am very impatient, so I suppose I could say most lengths of time between one episode and another are ridiculously long. Such dedication, though, to still want to watch a show even after it makes you wait for ages :'D

That week was a week of pure suffering. Two-parters of any kind will be the death of me, but those episodes.
It still hurts.
