I've heard lots of people saying they TT just to get villagers out - some may consider this progressing their town, but in my context it is not. I consider TTing to progress your town like TTing publics work projects done, making plants grow, hybrids appear, etc. Some may do this while TTing villagers, but it's not their main intention.

Do you TT to progress your town? I do, and the only reason is I'm very slow with decorating in AC, although I love doing so. Plant placement is the main thing that gets me. My dream villagers are almost completed, though.

I have done it, but I don't anymore. When I restarted my town, I started in April to get the topiaries, and TT'ed rapidly forwards to catch up to current date (exhausting and stressful. I almost regret doing it). A pleasant side-effect to that was fast progression with the Nookling expansions. Now I'm enjoying going day by day real time and looking forward to finished PWPs the next day and events on their proper days.

Good thing I read your post because I only TT villagers out/in and almost clicked "Yes". :p

I TT'ed to get all of Gracie's checks done and to build to emporium,,, so I've answered yes to your poll c:
Apart from that it's mainly to get villagers in and out.

Oh right, I actually also did the TT trick to get all the Gracie checks done at once. I guess I lied in the poll
I also TT like a madman in my secondary town.

I TT to progress my town. When I start a PWP I pay it off then skip ahead to get it finished. I also do to get villagers out but its so much work and really not fun.

I TT quite a bit - I just reset my town so I have been TTing in little bursts to get everything up and running again. In my previous town I did TT to get villagers out and to get PWP done as well, like quite a few others. So in short, yes. I have been TTing to progress my town again.

Haha, the list of people who doesn't TT at all is zero at the moment. TTing almost feel like a part of animal crossing now :D

And I TT to get villagers out as well. I limit myself to wait till the next day for pwps, since I don't want acnl to lose the fun for myself. Just personal reasons :D

I used to TT for villagers, but now I TT for faster public works projects and plants.

I don't TT at all because I'm scared that if I start doing it I won't stop. But also because I think it kinda ruins it for me.
Although I'm really really tempted to TT to get my most hated villagers out.

For about 3 months into the game I had not TT'd even once. I enjoyed the daily life etc. But then I started villager trading. ;P My playstyle shifted at the same time. I hated TT:ing before that but it's really a playstyle preference, and I realized mine had changed. I got hardcore. I got myself a really good looking and organized town. At that point you (I) just don't care about the same stuff as someone getting into the game, like fishing, bug catching, selling bugs, the island, ... I just focused on decorating my town and houses and doing trades for items so "the current day" lost it's original meaning.

While TT'ing villagers out I grew hybrids and bought Fertilizer to get the golden shovel. But now I haven't played "for real" for weeks and I whenever I boot the game I set it to Oct 24th so I don't have to worry about villagers moving. You could say that time has frozen in Paradise, lol. But I don't really need the time to progress to get anything done, so I'm ok with that. (I'm ~85% done with my village exterior and am not sure what else I could do atm.)

I don't usually TT, but I've done it a few times recently. I never travel that far anyway, usually I just travel backwards less than an hour so I won't miss an event, meet a villager, and so on. I gain some sort of completeness if I don't TT, even if I know that I can get new items from doing it and stuff. Since I want Curly to move out, I might start traveling. Having 3 pigs and 2 jocks in my town is too much for me. I had to pass up Willow because Curly moved in right after Hamlet moved out. >.>

I guess TTing to regrow grass counts as progressing my town.

I did TT one time to get all four Gracie checks in one day, plus a day forward to get the Emporium. So yes, I have had TTed to progress my town. xD

I've TTed for Gracie checks, the emporium, and to move out villagers. I haven't had time to do it lately, but I probably will start again during winter break so I can get an uchi and snooty villager I like.

My main town - no. not at all. Prefer to play the game day by day.

Only TT on cycling town to give away dreamies xD
