Do you prefer being at 9 or 10 villagers?

A bit of an odd question ^^U Both actually make me nervous for different reasons.

When I'm at 9, I'm always worried about getting a random wi-fi or streetpass move-in (especially one who moves someplace awful :o) Of course, I could always turn off/avoid those features, but I really enjoy them ^^

When I'm at 10, I'm always worried that I'll miss out on a really cool villager! I have my main dreamies already, but there's still a few villagers I'd love to have in my town and would kick myself if I missed out on one of them! (Merengue, Chief, Diana, Molly...)

Which do you prefer?

10 - i really don't like random move ins >.< i used to not really mind, but now that i have paths and a lot of my town all done up i don't want any of my work ruined. also i get the concept of TT'ing unwanted villagers out when there are 10 - not sure how it's done when there are 9. the more the merrier :3

It really depends on who I already have in my town. I have 2 or 3 villagers I want gone atm so right now, I would prefer being at 9 so I can get a good camper if one shows up.

I think Streetpass is not big of a deal when it compares to random move ins. I like being at 9, as you've said, I want to get that cool camper. My practice is to turn off streetpass when I am at 9 and the only turn it on when I am at 10.

i prefer 9 because i always have that awful tension that there's going to be a dreamie or some crazed over villager in the campsite and then it turns out my town is full.

I have 10, because I like having a lot of villagers. Although it is tempting to pick up a villager here and there... or even trade villagers away. But 9 feels so empty. It's hard to explain.

I got Gwen from Streetpass, and I am not a fan of her. Glad she went to a go home, but she's terrorizing Main Street along with all of the other losers. :P

Same :< I hate being at 10 since I always miss villagers I could have otherwise adopted or bid on. I'm close to the point where I can just chill for a while and try to get villager pictures, haha.

i like having 9
because like today when i had 10 and told apollo i didnt want him to move yesterday

fuana shows up in my campsite today >.<

I prefer 10, I'm the paranoid types who are scared that there will be a random move-in.
Even though it risks the camp dreamie that might pop-up, I don't want random voided villagers from other people.

I've only been back to ten since yesterday, and I'm already feeling the "campsite anxiety" X(
but I purposefully took in a tenth to avoid the move-ins, so if it happens I have only myself to blame XD Plus I really like him (Genji!), so no regrets ^__^

At least I have a space in my second town! (now watch all the cool campers visit my full town instead >.<)

10.

I never want to experience the horror random move ins with the destruction of trees and paths. No thank you.

I'm finally back to 10 villagers and I got everyone I ever wanted and loved so I'm happy. I can finally turn my Streetpass back on and keep working on getting that streetpass badge.

My preferred number is 9, I don't worry about streetpass 'coz I barely ever use it :P Plus, the only move-in you can get is a camper (UNLESS YOU TAKE SOMEONE ELSE ON PURPOSE). 9 and 10 is considered the exiting period, where your villagers can only move out, instead of random move-ins :P

I never bothered to build the campsite and have no "dreamies" as such. I'm cool with whatever moves in--with the caveat that I want at least one of each personality. I'd really prefer to stay at 9 if I could, but that means if I'm down a personality-type I basically can't do any wifi stuff because everyone's voided someone at some point and it's only going to be a 1/8 chance at best that I'll get the missing type that way. Just had to sit out a few days of isolation recently because my only snooty villager moved out and I had to scramble to find someone on the villager trading forum who was dumping a snooty, any snooty.

There's a plot in my town this morning so it looks like I'm back in business at last, but ugh I really am ambivalent about the voiding thing. I am cool with the villagers I've picked up from other people's trash as it were (Fuchsia, Marcel) but having had this experience trying to get hold of a replacement for Tipper, it must be really awful for people with "dreamies" to deal with.

I would like to be at 9 since I don't have all my dreamies yet and it would be sad if I missed one just because my village is full

10 for two reasons:

1: It's easier to get unwanted villagers to ping because I find that villagers ping more often when you have ten of them
2: I hate random move ins with a passion stronger than the fires of hell.

10 for me. I prefer my town that bit busier mostly. I can avoid streetpass movers by loading streetpasses onto my physical copy if I needed to, so that's no worry either way. And in my new town I haven't built the campsite yet. ~ Though I plan to once I have my dreamies and then I can't be bothered if someone I like camps as I wouldn't have been able to take them anyway. xP

Whenever I had 9 on my old town I paranoidly went through making a new character daily to check for random move ins out of fear for my flowers, or camper/villager reset for hours to get myself to 10. I prefer how I've done it now.

CHIEF JUST SHOWED UP IN MY CAMPSITE! >:c I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN! I JUST KNEW IT!
And here is the prime example of the downside of having 10 villagers T____T
