No sound because I’m not particularly fond of the music in this game. I prefer NL hourly music. I wish we have an option to turn the music off. If I have sound on, it’s usually just to catch fish or for shooting stars.

I only play with headphones if I'm hunting DIYs from balloons. Otherwise I play without mostly or with no sound if other people in my house are sleeping.

I play with sound on most of the time but not with headphones. I’m not a huge fan of the music in this game so usually if I’m getting sick of it I’ll shut the sound off, especially for the 2pm music which is most definitely the worst hour of music
When i play with sound on then i must wear headphones as well. It was mostly because i didnt want to bother others with the sound but it is becoming something i am used to doing even when i am alone. I also just feel like you can hear things better with headphones like you said.

I do both, honestly...but the experience is better with headphones. I pretty much play my Switch exclusively in handheld mode, so it comes naturally enough to just plug some headphones in and carry it around. I just wish Switch natively supported bluetooth. Would be much nicer to pair my wireless earbuds instead of having a cable.
