So I heard about these "Other Games" sort of threads, so I decided to make one myself. Well, what is the game? It is one of my absolute favorites next to Animal Crossing, and it is called Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story!
I know I'm a girl, but who said girls can't play RPGs? I got this game for my 10th birthday in 2010 and since then I LOVED it. I had never played an RPG then, so I'm not lying here: it seriously took me almost a YEAR to finish it. I'm not kidding. Crazy, right? But hey, that's okay for a first-timer!^^
Well, last summer, something terrible happened. I LOST THE GAME!! I had taken it on EVERY trip out-of-state, so I was devastated when I couldn't find it. But today, a mirracle happened (well, one to me).
My sister and I were sleeping together because my other sister was at a friend's house for the night. My sister sleeping with me, for some reason, had her phone with her, and in the middle of the night I heard something bang. I guessed her phone had fallen, so I decided we could get it in the morning.
In the morning, my sister couldn't find her phone. I said I heard something crash in the middle of the night so that was probably it. She looked under the bed and...my game, plus her phone, was there!
I was so happy to find it! I had actually given up because we had been looking for it so long, but here it was! We texted my other sister, and I believe this next part is like an "omen"...
Well, anyway, my sister had gone to Panda Express the night before with her friend and gotten a fortune cookie. The fortune read:
"A dream will come true when you least expect it."
I'M NOT LYING! It's very true! Who goes on The Bell Tree to tell a fake story? Not me! It's true, and I was so creeped out...
So...how would you guys respond to that?:D How long did it take YOU to finish the game? I would love to hear everyone's thoughts!^^
*Sorry for being really hyper...I loved that game...when I realized I had lost it I actually cried! I can be very emotional sometimes!*

It would have probably been better for you to put the name of the game you're talking about in the title of the thread so people actually know what to expect when they come in.

|: I've been playing rpgs since the SNES days so I wasn't aware that it's strange for girls to like rpgs. So that "I know I'm a girl" bit was kind of weird to add to me...

I've never played Bowser's Inside story, or any of those other mario RPGS (I've played Legend of the Seven Stars on the SNES though!). I've heard they're really good games. All the lets plays of the series I've watched with my boyfriend have been really cute! If I can find any of the games I'll definitely play them eventually.

I've played it and I must say, I HATED it.
It started out okay... Some good gameplay and all, along with comical humor.
1 hours later... getting a bit repetitive...
2 hours later... getting really repetitive
30 hours later... someone shoot me.
I gave up on the game.

Yeah, the train battle was a little hard, but I still liked the game anyway! :) Also, Officer Berri, the reason I said "I know I'm a girl" is because most girls I know don't play RPGs, so I guessed that there are tons of more boy gamers out there - I could be wrong, though.
Bacon Boy, after I finished the game, I learned about Superstar Saga and it looked so fun! But I don't think I was born when it came out...I'm only 12!^^ It looked old-style-ish but games like that, for some reason, draw my attention! :) Too bad they don't sell that anymore! :(

Nah, you were born, you were prolly like 3 then though.

This is superstar saga, do you mean Super Mario RPG?

Yea. Superstar Saga was for the GBA in the earlyish/mid 200s. I thought Inside Story was a bit too easy, though. Thousand Year Door, Saga, and Partners in Time had insane Boss Battles. Inside Story was half RPG half quick time events.

The only Mario RPG I ever got my hands on was Partners in Time. I thought it was fine.

No, Superstar Saga was the one I meant. I saw videos about that one! Some of the battles looked sort of easy, like Tolstar...I know Tolstar is an enemy but he's one of my favorites!^^

Ohh i see! I loved ML: Partners in Time & The Thousand Year Door so much. I haven't gotten around to ML: Bowsers Inside Story yet though.

Huge fan of Superstar Saga, that was a great game. I feel so old though as I was 10 myself when that came out haha! I'm pretty excited for the new Mario & Luigi game for the 3DS.

I haven't played Bowser's Inside Story but I really want too. I have played Partners in Time though.

And by the way... I don't get the whole thing about girls playing RPGs. It isn't that rare. :\

I love this game but it took me like two weeks to beat, not a year lmao. Superstar saga took me multiple times to beat it cuz I couldn't beat the final boss to save my life so I gave up and re-played the game months later and gave up again. Then I lost the game. Then I found it and finally beat it. Partners in time was my first game from this series and it's my favorite. I love time travel games.

I'm excited for the new one coming out! :D
