Do you journalize what happens in your game?

Topic title matches its description. I know it sounds crazy, but when I play Animal Crossing: New Leaf, I try to take notes on what I do every time I change the date in my game. I track who moves into my town, what projects I build, what fish or insects I catch, and what badges I earn, all in the same order I achieve them. I'm tracking every events to put into a journal. I haven't done this on Westport or Belcroft (my first two towns), but I have done this with StarFall. I'm even sharing what I put in my journal in my blog (no advertising intended).

Do you do the same thing?

I haven't, although whenever I get a good screenshot or something interseting happens in my town I'll post on my animal crossing blog on tumblr, but that blog mostly has reblogs and stuff. There's a few people who do daily or weekly journals on their blogs, but not many.

Usually just take screen shots. But I do list down villagers I want (name, type, personality) and a checklist of PWP I want to unlock and build. I guess, if that counts.

I don't really "journalize" it, but I used to liveblog my daily experiences on tumblr for awhile. It's pretty fun do that, especially with screenshots.

Come to think of it, I want to get back into doing that.

Yes.
I.
Do.

... though not in the ways you might think.

Game Design, it makes you crazy. And there's more insanity to follow tomorrow.

I actually take pictures during events and 'extraordinary" occurrences. (this counts as journalizing right? hehe :))

After time traveling another villager 'into boxes,' I write down the date on a slip of paper inside the game case so that I know when to login no matter how much time has passed.

This is the closest I get to 'journalizing.'

I use my iPhone to track what happens each day. I even track the participants at the ceremonies. When I'm done tracking for the month, I put it into a keynote presentation on my iPad.

I keep an actual written journal, past villagers, dates and times and items and all the important for each even down to coffee for everyone in town lists...but I am a lister and planner by nature.

I used to, but now with school and other games I've decided not to track it because I feel that there are other things that are more worth my time.

Tried it with my Tumblr blog, but it got old fast and really put into perspective how repetitive this game can be sometimes.

not really. i imagine if i ended up stopping the game for some time or cycling, i'd probably write in game notes. i play so much that it's not a huge deal.

I've never tracked it, and I really had to think hard for a thread here about who has moved in and out since my town started. I wish my town tree would at least keep track of the last 16 for me, because I'm not even close to that yet.

I take pictures with the 3DS camera when certain things happen. Although, when I start my second town (which I intend to at some point), I'll probably keep a written journal and take pictures.

I don't take too many pictures of what happens in my game. But when I do, it has to be something interesting. I'm more of a writer than a photographer.

not really. I do jot down pwps I would like and where I would like to place them.
but I do like your idea of journalizing.

Wow! Color me impressed. I could never be that organized with... well, just about anything!

You're definitely a J in my book, haha. I'm referring to the MBTI if you don't already know what that is~

When I first started ACNL, I had grand ideas for keeping a screenshot journal. I was going to screenie every event, like birthdays, holidays, PWP celebrations, funny moments. I was going to take a screenie of the inside of animal homes when they first moved in, to document who all I've had. I was even going to screenie every time I caught a new bug or fish.
Long story short. No, I don't journal, lol.
