Do you have to catalog all the gyroids to get the 100% complete catalog badge?

I'm just wondering because I've almost completed my catalog, and I really don't want to have to try and collect all the gyroids... But I have a feeling that they do count towards the catalog completion.. Do they?

Theyre in the catalog so I would assume so, but I have no clue

The highest level in the catalog badge is 80% of everything. So, even if you need the gyroids, you don't need all of them. Just 80%.
