Yup, I got it; though since getting it my shiny luck took a major drop to almost a 0% chance of getting one(just like every other game I've gotten it in)

I do that too!! I dont mind if people offer me "legit" legends from pokecheck, but as long as i dont do that myself then i'll feel pretty happy / accomplished ; )

I only did it because there's no way in heck I'm putting that kind of effort into my pokemon. Too busy breeding for legit shinies and stuff. (WHY WON'T YOU HATCH SHINY MAWILE! I'VE GROWN SO TIRED OF WAITING THAT I POKEDITED A SHINY FLAWLESS MAWILE FEMALE NAMED NYX!{no, she's not for trade for obvious reasons})

increases chances of encountering wild shinies.

Has no effect on breeding however. The item even says it makes it easier to find shiny pokemon in the wild.
