Do you gift your villagers expensive items, or rares?

I know they end up replacing furnitures with new ones in the game.
Do you still do it? If so, what items did you gift to which villagers?

I gave Apple an afternoon tea set. It looks so adorable in her room.
For Fauna, I mailed her a sweets bookcase and the rainbow screen. ; w ;
I'm trying to get Marshal a few of his sloppy items back since he wasn't original when I bought him. ^-^;

I gave Diana a flower bouquet because I thought it would be pretty in her house. Then she didn't put it in her house </3

I also gave Fauna a picnic basket, which looks super cute in her house ^^

I've given them some ice and balloon furniture (because it was an easy way to get rid of it) but I haven't seen it in their house. Also, I suppose those aren't that rare! The afternoon tea set in Apple's house sounds too cute for words!!! xD I can just picture her stuffing her little cheeks with macarons and tea cakes!!!

I've never really given any thought to the furniture I gave them. Started making their houses look terrible. I really need to contemplate a bit more before giving them stuff!

I've never really been that picky about my villagers' houses considering I hardly ever go in them unless it's their birthday or something. (and given that I used to give them pretty awful-looking junk when they asked for new stuff, it probably looks horrible in there)

I do like to spoil my villagers a little bit, hehe n__n I like giving Deirdre mushroom furniture because it looks nice in her leafy forest house and I think she would like it. I like to spoil Diana with mermaid furniture and hybrid roses as well u___u

Big Top has a Throne in his house. I've got a lot for free so I gave him one when he was upset.
Thought the rest of the town didn't like him. It's still in his house.

I've bought items at full price at Gracies but buy more when it's on sale. Tutu has 2 sweet beds in her house. Forgot I gave her one. The game placed it so it works.
Paula has her flower bouquet on display. Sidney has her honeybee chest on display.

I was giving up rare fish but there too big. Instead they get sea butterfly that can go on the table. Their houses look nicer now.

I've given villagers pieces of the Gold series- Cyrus kept remaking ones I already had, and I didn't feel like selling them for a loss, so I gave them to them. I've given them rare ones, too bad at the time I didn't know it was rare/unorderable, because when Nintendo sent out the AC Wii U Plaza letter with the shaved ice lamp, I gave the thing to Quillson who must have swallowed the thing, because one day it just vanished from his house, and I never saw it again.
