Of course! Every time I see something about it on the news, I feel upset. My school is doing this thing where you buy candy from them and they send the money to Ukrainian families, I think I might buy some.

Yes of course I am sad this is happening to Ukraine, I thought we were done with wars already I wish this would stop.

Yeah, I do! My school is donating cans and food to Ukrainian people, and I have donated some. I hope one day Russia will stop the invasion

Yes. I've seen some news stories about the families and it is heartbreaking to watch. It was also sad (or more bittersweet) to see the Ukrainian kids in Poland getting hugs and flowers from Polish kids. I can't imagine what it must feel like.
I feel sad about a lot of things happening in the world. Ukraine, the Buffalo shooting, and others....

Well, to some extent, yes...

However... ^^;;

Please don't get me wrong, wars are horrible, but I try not to spend too much time feeling really sad about things out of my control and that have nothing to do with me or my loved ones.

Like I said, however, please do not get me wrong. I wish we could all live in peace without war and prejudice/discrimination.

While this reply is not really directed at anyone in particular and is more or less a general reply, I hope it answers your question, @TurnipBell20

Yes, of course I do! It's so sad to think about all those innocent lives lost. It's just terrible and I wish that someday humanity could evolve beyond the need for war. It solves nothing.

I feel like ‘sad’ or ‘sorry’ are not exactly the words I would use to describe my feelings, because they are too mild and free of blame, and this isn’t some natural disaster or unavoidable tragedy. But having said that-

How could I not feel sad about it? Such a needless war, to satisfy an awful old man’s ego and his nationalistic delusions. Senseless and needless suffering will always make me sad. Whether it is this war or the cruel, discriminatory laws being passed now in my country (the US). It’s a difficult enough world, why do some people love going out of their way to make other people’s lives worse?

My dad served in the military and I've practiced martial arts for over a decade, and because of a certain incident in my family I hold life at a very high value.

That being said, I think words like "sorry," "sad," and "angry" are an understatement for me. It's unforgivable.

To call it a bombing is putting it very lightly. Russia is at war with Ukraine. They are doing more than bombing Ukraine. Worse things.

I feel very very sorry for Ukraine, Russia should F off, and why the heck did 3 people vote "No"???? is this funny to you?? That said, OP should probably make this poll anonymous.

I think by “no”, they just mean that they don’t wanna spend their time worrying about something they have no control over and that has nothing to do with them or their loved ones.

If that’s the case, I don’t blame them, but I voted “yes” because for me, it’s in between (on one hand, I hate war, but on another hand I’m not gonna waste my time worrying about stuff that has nothing to do with me or my loved ones), and I didn’t want people getting any wrong ideas.

If these were people being like “oh Ukraine deserves it, I don’t feel bad for them. They deserve to be at war”, THAT would be bad. But I highly doubt those three people mean it like that.

But yeah, I agree that this should’ve been an anonymous poll, to avoid attacks due to misunderstandings.

Yeah, thats pretty much why I voted no. I don't read/watch the news at all and prefer to stay away from things like this because it would just make me angry and I don't want to be angry at more things. Also me being angry or sad does absolutely nothing to change whats happening, so I don't bother with it.

But instead of being of being angry you can channel that energy in a way that is conducive and helpful. If you have spare funds donate to refugees. Find ways to help the Ukrainian people. Even if you don’t care like you say, you still don’t feel sorry? Like I can’t fathom not feeling sorry for innocent people who are losing lives, loved ones, homes, everything. At the end of the day it doesn’t have any effect on me, but I still have compassion for them and feel sorry.

Also big yikes to the people who voted no….😬🧐👀

I do not blame you in the slightest. I wish more people would understand this. While I voted "Yes", I wish people would not get the wrong idea about you and the other two "No" voters. Everyone has other world problems to worry about, including their own personal problems, and they don't want something else negative to worry about.

Plus, most people would instead use their time, money, and energy for things affecting them and their loved ones.

Don't get me wrong, I do feel sorry for the (innocent) Ukraine victims to an extent. ;-; And if I had the power, I would rid the world of hatred and war, but I don't think people should be shamed for voting for "No" unless it's in a ****ed up way like "oh, they deserve it"

I feel really bad for ANYONE THAT IS SAD :( SO MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE DYING FOR NO REASON 😭😭😭 I never watch the news because its only sad stuff.... MOMMY TOLD ME BECAUSE SHE SAID I NEED TO KNOW JUST INCASE SOMEONE ASKSSS. I wish we could all be happy and get along. If you are being one, PLEASE STOP BEING A MEANIE >:( ITS NEVER OKAY >:(
