(I know my character isn't real but just go with me here) Do you ever wonder what your mayor thinks about moving into this new town and being thrust into mayorhood with no say in the matter? Like, she just runs around town doing her mayoral duties like it's nothing but I think deep down she's saying to herself "what the heck did I get myself into?!?"

Yeah my mayors like fml the second she stepped out of the train station.
Imagine getting sent to some random place and getting forced to pay a raccoon thousands of dollars to build your house.

The character themself seems pretty happy-go-lucky just like all the other characters in the game...in reality that would be a very stressful situation, having that responsibility and debt thrust unto you, while being surrounded by only talking animals nonetheless.

I wonder now what happened prior to the Animal Crossing movie? She's already with Kapp'n in the beginning, so she must have already known/realized that she was going to be living with talking animals. How the heck does that work...? Why don't more humans do so...?

But I guess the same can be wondered about the games. By the time you'd realize the train you're boarding and already purchased a ticket for is conducted by a monkey, it'd be a little late to turn back. Then a talking cat approaches you and inquires everything about you.

Are there animals that leave to go live with humans...?

I imagine that before NL, my mayor lived in a town just like in WW. That way, she's already familiarized with how things work, and isn't alarmed that a pink hearted alligator is talking to her. Tortimer ruins things since they acknowledge him as the past major, but for my story's sake, I just pretend he's not there. Because he isn't. o__o

Lol that part about paying a racoon.xD So true.

all I can think about is that dog scientist meme that says "I have no idea what I'm doing"
it pretty much sums up my mayors thoughts at least.

I always picture my Mayor as being really- like "I cannot run a town- but to hell with it, anyway."

He just doesn't seem to care about much if no one's bothering him to change things. The town may not have any grass, the flag is literally one solid color, and the flowers are getting uncontrollable, but if no one's going to complain about it, ain't nothing to worry about.

Yeah, its all pretty weird if you think about it... Talking animals, gryoids in the ground, rocks that pop open when you hit them. Kind of makes you wonder what they were smoking when the initial creators thought of this stuff. (but i love it, lol. Its just weird if you step back and think about things)

*wakes up from year-long dream*

"I was a MAYOR? And there were talking animals and they asked me to catch bugs...and fish! It was AWFUL!"

I feel like the villagers are going to accuse me of misappropriating funds of something.

I am in the middle of buying a fully upgraded golden castle and these villagers still have such a small town. I'm a stump maker and the town is barren. Meanwhile, I have a huge castle when they're living in tiny houses.

When is someone going to get wise that the mayor is spending 99.8% of the money on himself and sending them small gifts in the mail to appease them.
