I have selfishly decorated it how I want it without having any of my villagers in mind :, )
None of them really have a yard either. Kiki, Muffy, and Clay (previously Drago) have more space where they live than the others, but I haven't really taken any of their hobbies or personalities into account. Just stuff I like, like plants, stumps, candles, etc. I think a lot of people would find my town a bit boring because of that but I don't mind!
Yes I do! Each villager of mine gets their own special and sizeable yard with what I think fits their personality, sinceI want them to be apart of the island rather than just accessories for pictures. Now not all of them are done, but the following are just examples of what I do:
Skye: Birch log furniture with stacked books for reading
Buck: Has his own Basketball Net, along with a clothesline for his sweaty clothes
Elmer: A farm with a well, and some rows of orange hyacinths, as well as a hay bed and straw fencing
Julian: Has blue Nova Lights, a blue Crescent-Moon Chair, and a telescope
Ankha: Pyramid, Sphinx, Fake Mystic statue, and palm trees, with sand instead of grass
I can't believe I never really thought of kitting out according to hobbies... I've been going for a mixture of their aesthetic, any headcanons, and their listed goal and skill! Thanks for this suggestion though, I can't wait to make additions based on their hobbies now <3
