Do villagers resend mail?

I was using the campsite method to hunt for a particular villager, so you can imagine how much mail I got from tting.

I'm planning on syncing my clock back to real time now. I don't really want to keep this mail since it's from months in the future. But does anyone know if villagers actually resend mail? I know that you'll always get mail from Happy Home Academy provided it's the right date, but does this also apply to villager mail?

I've TT'd all the way to 2022 using the campsite method and received duplicates of the same letters from my villagers.
