Yes, I got a rumor yesterday too. Sterling had already pinged me to move and then another villager told me the rumor.

I guess with the extra Toy Day text, it might take longer for them to tell you sometimes.

They do this on every day. And if you knew this already, rumors are placeholders for when nobody wants to move out yet. But when someone wants to move out, they won’t talk about rumors until you talk to the villager that’s moving out.
