Do I need Santa Boots for Toy Day?

I don't have Kick's, so I was planning for getting some boots from my friends town. But, my little sister has a character in my town, and she talked to Jingle with only the Santa Coat, Santa Pants, Santa Hat, and Santa Beard. He gave her the Santa Bag and the villagers thought she was Santa.
Can I do Toy Day this way, or will Jingle not give me the best gift tomorrow and today because I didn't have the complete outfit?
