different flower type selling at nook's

sooo... i have lilies as my native flowers. ever since i started playing, i would only be able to buy lily, cosmos and mums seeds from the shop. and i would only see lilies and cosmos on mystery islands.

now, for the last 3 days, there are ROSES selling at my nook's.

does anybody know why that happens?

i had seen people talking about this but i didn't believe them at first. now that it happened to me, i'm curious as to why that happened.

some information that may be useful: i have been playing everyday since the launch, i don't TT, my nook cranny's haven't expanded and i'm fairly sure that i didn't sell roses to the nooklings, but i do have them in my island because i purchased seeds from someone's island

ohhh i see!
i was talking to my friends that play too and none of them got different flowers so that's why i thought it was strange

To add onto what Luca said, my native flower is windflower and at the beginning of the game my Nooks have been selling windflowers, cosmos, and mums. After a few weeks they started selling lillies very occasionally, and recently I've spotted roses too. Seems like you have a chance to randomly get other flowers (could be based on season), but they will be rare.
