So I wanted to bring Avery to my town, and from what I remember to make sure they put their house in a spot you want, you put down patterns, and I did that last night, made sure where I wanted him to go was perfectly fine.
Come on it today not as Mayor and he decided not to go where I wanted him to be, so I turned off my game, put it back on and it's still in the same spot?

Have I done something wrong? It had worked perfectly before. I didn't do every single area otherwise that would have taken ages. So he's moved near my train station :/
Any help will be really useful, thank you!

unfortunately avery is probably stuck there :(

The way plot-resetting works is that, when you open the town with a character that already exists (even if it's not the mayor) the town saves "the way things are" (new flowers, rocks, move-ins, etc) during the "getting the town ready" dialogue

but for whatever reason, when you make a NEW character, this getting ready dialogue doesn't happen, and thus you can restart the game to re-roll "the way things are" for that day.

So if you logged in with an existing character I think avery is stuck :(

Oh darn I didn't realise! I have a total amount of four players but I must've been mistaken about the character thing, thank you though! Now have to wait for him to leave :/
