designing small areas?

one thing I've found while designing my island is you can fill larger spaces no problem but then I'm left with little awkward gaps that I don't really know what to do with! I'm sure there are more creative people out there who've found cute little ways to fill space. what do you do to spruce up small areas? would love to see anybody's pictures!

I'm the opposite :0 I can fill up small spaces and design those nicely, but I'm having a hard time connecting and building up the entire town. I've been tackling my decor and terraforming one small space at a time

You're doing great imo! That's pretty much what I do with leftover small areas and crannies. Stick a bench and some books, a tiny library, hyacinth lamps, tables and chairs...

I'm generally having trouble filling areas, no matter the size I usually plant a flower or ten if I'm running out of ideas. However, both of your examples are pretty cute! I especially like the lantern with the lily of the valley and the waterfall!

I know what you mean with connecting each part! no matter how much inspiration I get I just can't find a way to get it all to flow

ooh hyacinth lamps are a good shout! kind of mixes the natural and the built up areas.

thank you!! and don't get me wrong I'm definitely stuck for ideas now with the amount of flowers I have hoarded on my beach just waiting to be used, you'd think I'd use them more...
