The problem isn't people making mistakes with their bridge / incline placement, the problem is people deciding that they want a bridge / incline somewhere and then later changing their minds and deciding on a different style or location. It's very easy for terraforming to become a massive time and bell sink if you don't know exactly what you want your entire island to look like or if you aren't 100% committed to your planned layout. It's not really that big of a problem. They give you the option of seeing what its like before hand.
Moving a bridge would be nice, but also doesn't make much sense. I'm sure it'd be very difficult if not impossible to do irl. So I'm more or less at peace with that, but if I can have a magic wand that changes my clothes, Nook can magically change the color of my dang bridge.
Then again, Nook surely has some heavy duty construction equipment hiding somewhere... So maybe he *could* move bridges and this is just some kind of bell racket.
Sure you can! But I think it's very difficult and expensive. Historic lighthouses in particular get moved a lot because of rising ocean levels.can’t move a building irl either but in ac we can.or can we? anyway we’re just going with their logic, or select logic that is.

You're 100% right on AC having select logic though.
