Whenever two people on Earth die at the same time, they are sent to one of many mysterious bars run by bartenders serving as arbiters. There, they must participate in Death Games with their lives on the line, the results of which reveal what secrets led them to their situation and what their fate will be afterwards, with the arbiters judging if their souls will either be sent for reincarnation or banished into the void...

Welcome to the Death Parade roleplay!​

This will be a semi-open roleplay! I require a maximum of 6 people in this roleplay. Each person may only have 1 character for now (choose from the character types below). Later on, and as I explain in more depth how this RP will work, you will see you will be making more characters which will be used in the 'Death Games'. Please join this RP if you think you can try and keep up/not drop out straight away. The roleplay is based off the anime Death Parade, a basic knowledge of the show may help you along, but it is not necessary and you may join if you have not seen it.

The story is set in limbo, also known as purgatory, the space between life and death. Purgatory is not as bleak as you would believe, and is in fact in the style of colourful bars in which the mysterious place is connected by elevators. These elevators can take you to different locations in purgatory, but are also where the newly deceased humans are transported from the real world up to limbo. Our characters are known as ‘arbiters’. Arbiters are bartenders who own their own bar and are not human, defined by their cross shaped pattern on their pupils that gives them their own special ability. Arbiters judge the humans who enter limbo, (these humans do not know they are dead/in limbo) and via a game the arbiter selects, in which the human believes their ‘lives’ are on the line (to let out their true personality). Once the game is over, the arbiter will send each human back into the elevator and choose either to send them to be reincarnated (if they have proved a good person) or to be sent to the void (if they have been a bad person). Between these ‘games’ arbiters are free to socialise with other arbiters and do other activities.

These deceased humans who are sent to limbo will be played by us! For how this will work, whoever is going to be the arbiter that hosts that game, two other people will be the humans that are in that game! The two humans can either die in a related way (i.e a husband and wife) or be completely unrelated (a teenager and a random old lady).

Personality: The daughter of the grim reaper (shinigami), she is very formal and very high up in the death god hierarchy. She is elegant, has a strong Russian accent and dresses in posh clothing. She is usually quite stubborn; believing her way is the best way and does not like taking orders. She is serious when it comes down to organising limbo, but is considered a little mental when off duty. She has an extreme OCD regarding cleanliness, hating dust and dirt to the point of terror, rage and fear. Make sure your bar is scrubbed clean when she is around! She can get very angry if you do not do as she says, but once you have got to know her, she can be very friendly and fun to be around. She also talks (annoyingly) in the 3rd person, but does not realise it.

(We are controlling an arbiter (or one of the human assistants) as the primary character. When a 'death game' occurs in one of the arbiters bars, two other members create a human to use for that specific death game. By the end of a death game the two humans involved are judged and sent to either be reincarnated or the void, so that human cannot be used anymore.

Think of it as arbiters being your main character and the humans in the game as temporary characters.

Also I may be able to add more characters so yeah you can join.)

When an actual death game occurs for an aribiter/human assistant to judge, users who want to have a human in a game will create a character that has died and will compete to be judged. By the end of a death game the human will be sent ever to reincarnation or the void, meaning you can not use them again once they are gone. You don't create a deceased human until they arrive in limbo.
