Dead island Riptide

I went to Gamestop at midnight today and got Dead Island 2 and a free TShirt.

I played about 1 hour into the game so far, think it might be a good game. (I had fun on the last one.) Anyone else get the game or getting? I play on Xbox so if anyone wants to do slme co-op I'd be down for that

It does seem like there are a lot of dead island haters out there, and there are those who dont hate te game but dont like it either. These people seem to be mad that the game looks like DLC or Copy-and-paste as some woupd say. It seems call of duty does the same thing each year, and it does well as a game. So these people need to be more possitive towards the new game and try it... After all, whats better than a online, open world, RPG, zombie game? Besides Animal Crossing

I liked the first one as well, I've been curious about this game, how does it play compared to the first, control wise & such?

The second doesn't seem to improve much over the first. Way too many optimization issues. The first was fun for awhile, but I don't want to be dropping another (30, 40...?) on the second one. Doesn't seem worth it to me. If I really want a zombie game I'll just play Dead Rising. Oh, and L4D2. Sadly.

It really is a "copy and paste" they reused alot of Assets and the GUI/HUD.

(1) Character
Boats
Maybe 3-5 new Zombies.

The game is not a sequel. I guess it's just Dead Is;land 1.5 or Dead Island Extended.

Dead Island 2 will most likely be Dead World and will probably be released for Next Gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox 720)

One thing I'd like to point out is I actually liked the island of Bannoi alot better than the Island this game takes place on (Palanai?)
