Not much to show for my town today. I've been doing poorly with my fossil hunting lately; The past couple of days I was missing one, and today I only found two. Oh well. I already got my Golden Can so I'm no longer concerned with 100% perfect status. But boy was it frustrating when I had to go fifteen straight days while maintaining that.
However, I could start working at The Roost today! That was super fun. Whitney, Wart Jr., Felicity, and Gracie all came in for coffee and I served them well enough to be satisfied. For my efforts, Brewster gave me a package of Superb Coffee Beans and I have no idea what to do with them. I personally hate coffee.
After my walk, I stopped by the Police Station to ask Booker about any suspicious activity. While there I realized what could possibly be the reason why Booker is so clueless all the time. The map taped to the back wall isn't even the right town map! I don't know what town he thinks he's working in, but he needs to get with it. There hasn't even been any new items in the lost and found since he opened.
Redd's tent was in the plaza today. I purchased a Jolly Painting, and now we wait. I don't refer to guides to tell which pieces are real because I actually really like the suspense.
Later, I needed some quick cash to have enough for the next expansion to Shyloh's basement, so I went to gather some fruits instead of having to run all the way up to the bank for the tenth time today. While collecting some Perfect Pears, I shook one tree and the leaves fell completely off of it, leaving a Rotten Pear behind.

I was not aware this was possible. I'd seen bare trees like that in dream towns before, but it never really occurred to me to wonder how they got like that. I was rather shocked, to say the least. I'm not sure if I should keep the bare tree because it's pretty cool, or cut it down and plant a new one.
Nevertheless, I gathered enough fruit to top off the last of the bells required for the basement installation loan. I put some exercise equipment down there, and tomorrow I should have enough room to spread them all out evenly. In addition, the locker room is officially complete! Well, with the exception of the walls and floor. I had a Lab Wall and Floor in there, but I decided they would look better in the weight room and figured I should find a new Bathhouse Wall and Bath Tile for the locker room since I recently sold the ones that I had.
Then I went shopping. Gracie was finally selling the Princess Chest and with that my Princess set is complete. There's quite a bit of space still available, so I may purchase some more Blue items and refurbish them to the lighter shade.
On my way back home, I ran into Chief and Mitzi having a conversation on the Brick Bridge. Mitzi was suggesting the three of us go on a picnic and asked me what food I would like for her to pack. I suggested animal crackers. It did not occur to me until after that I should not have said that to a couple of animals... But, to my relief, they did not think anything of it and Chief actually agreed that animal crackers sounded like a great idea. (Note to self: Keep an eye on Chief.)
