Server gets saved every hour with maximum of 2 minute downtime 10 minutes without disconnection, to prevent griefing.
We are not 24/7 Concluding griefers have struck us when we are weakest, we only host when we can keep watch 100% over the server, either myself or the staff.

11/20/2011 - Today is a great day as we can rid ourselves of Hamachi, we are now currently running with a new IP: darkmyst.hopto.org
11/20/2011 - Hello, we've started running the server differently and are able to save the server more often! We have updated the whitelist.
11/19/2011 - Hello, a new server is being openned in hopes of bringing back an old server. I hope this server will become more steady, although our hosting is not superb we are limiting the amount of players on the server.
5/30/2011 - Hello, the server has indeed been down a little bit lately, while we prepare to move to a dedicated CPU in which we can have 24\7 uptime. I am also working on a cool map to release and open up on!
5/27/2011 - Hello, everybody who was previously in our Hamachi, will have to re-join 'Darkmyst Reign' Hamachi due to CPU Transitions. Our IP has changed for the login server
Requirements
Hamachi
You must empty out your inventory of everything but 4 pieces of gear (your choice). Copper tools are an exception.
You must fill out a application & pick a class (see classes).
Storyline
You wake up in a tavern with no recollection of any past events. You are surrounded by friendly people and all you know is that you must attempt to survive & colonize against any and all odds.
With fellow members of Darkmyst, it is your duty to help fight and conquer challenges that will occur for you and your teammates and eventually, reign terror across the land, do your best!
Rules
No griefing or destruction of structures made by other players.
You must join blue party upon entry.
No racism, or verbal abuse (But general profanity is accepted, don't overdo it.)
No stealing items from fellow players, please mark your chests with a sign.

Application
Classes
(classes inspired by koisoi)
Scout: A very versatile, agile class built on scouting for mining areas, locations, and various others. Can also carry out normal duties.
Fighter: A very aggressive and combatant class, specializes in melee weapons. Can also carry out normal duties.
Archer: With the power of a bow, you strike enemies from afar keeping a safe distance from battle and aiding adventurers. Can also carry out normal duties.
Caster: Use the power of magic to defend their homeland, they are mainly used for defence of the colony. They keep an eye out for stars to aid them with their magical powers, training and wizardry.
Builder: A builder is also a gatherer (Role expanded due to lack of responsibility). He can forage much like a scout, but must also gather supplies and help build structures to aid adventurers.

Questions & Answers
Q: If I bring 4 items to the server, can I equip and get more in the server?
A: Of course! Why wouldn't you?
Q: Is the server US based or EU?
A: We're a US based server.
Q: Is this server 24\7?
A: We're a new server and we're not certain on that.
Q: I didn't bring a pickaxe or a certain tool what do I do?
A: Maybe you should have gone over that when you chose your 4 items to bring.
Q: I cannot connect to the server!
A: This is probobly caused by either services being full or down for an update.
Extra Information
The current town is 1639 feet long.
Passwords remain the same unless we recieve a griefer. (refer to our steam or forum for updated passwords)
