Dark Souls II Tips & Opinions.

I have just started playing Dark Souls II (Yeah, I'm a bit late to the party), I'm wondering which class is the best, best weapons, places to get items etc. Thanks!

Up to you.

You'll probably want something that can do some sort of range, you'll be needing it quite a lot in certain areas. So you could up your dex to wield a bow or you could go magic. If you go magic you'll want to drop down to the little cliff in Majula and get the binoculars so you can aim your spells.


other than that, not sure what weapons are the best yet.

There isn't really a "best class" all classes can uses the same spells/weapons/armor. Just look at everyone base stats/levels they are really the only thing that is different. As for weapons, again, play what you enjoy all weapons have their advantages and disadvantages. Only common thing I have seen is everyone rockin' and rollin' in Havel's set again. ._.

If you plan on using Sorcery, start with Sorcerer for his starting equipment, because it will be a while until you find a Sorcery catalyst. Otherwise, it does not really matter.
