Does anyone here play Dark Souls II? Ive been playing the game for about a total of 19 hours, but since im so cautious with everything I do in this game, Ive hardly gotten anywhere.
Ive also been invaded once, which was terrible.

Anyways, I was wondering, does anyone here play? Because I need a couple of friends to help me through this lol
Any tips are always appreciated!

......Seriously? No one here plays dark souls....?

I've played Dark Souls 1, Demons Souls, and have Bloodborne (but not played it yet). Not played the second Dark Souls yet, though I plan to get around to it eventually.

I'm in that minority that didn't think they were that difficult though. I personally play them more because I just love the visual design of everything. They're all morbid and gothic, which I don't think many things usually pull off that well, but these games do it in a way I like.

Any tips are always appreciated!

Most enemies can be easily beaten with 'strafe + backstab'. Usually it's best to block an attack then strafe since their stagger gives more than enough time to run around the back. A backstab does a lot of damage and you're invulnerable during the animation, so you'll be safe from any other enemies during the backstab,

A good amount of the bosses also have at least one really easy to abuse exploit (exploit/intended strategy? It's hard to tell which it is sometimes). If there's ever an area that you can climb up during a boss (either a ladder or just a hill/stairs), climb up there and the boss usually derps out trying to figure out how to follow you. If/when they eventually follow you up there, jump off, they'll derp out again deciding whether to run back around or jump off. Dunno if it'll work in DS2 (I imagine it will), but it did for the bosses in Dark/Demons Souls that had areas to 'scale'.

Also, at some point in the game, Mimics will start to appear (which if you've never seen a Mimic in a game, it's an enemy that looks like a chest). It'll probably happen at a point where if Mimic's were in the game, you would have thought you would have seen on by now, so you really won't expect it.
They'll **** you up if you try opening one, though if you shoot first it'll just start attacking normally (if it does nothing, it's just a chest. Open it), then you can start strafing + hitting from behind (because you can't backstab them).

Know this, if you've played the first game, plenty of the weapons have had a moveset change. WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY FALCHION So, some are not viable. A more general gameplay tip, spend your souls/wear a ring of soul protection. When I played, I lost 3m souls testing Great Resonance on the Lost Sinner on NG+.
