With the update allowing us to buy wetsuits, we are now able to swim in shark-infested waters (lol at Isabelle saying the water is safe). I also got the outdoor generator item today and was disappointed to find out that you can turn it on inside your house. Is Nintendo trying to encourage extremely reckless and dangerous behavior in ACNH? What other reckless or dangerous activities IRL have you done in ACNH?

You can also have a bonfire in your house, which let's be honest, isn't safe at all. You've got to ask yourself. Which is more dangerous? A shark out at sea, or a loan shark named Tom Nook? Is he a loan shark?

Lol yeah I don't understand the bonfire in the house. I love the silly quirks in this game.

omg when isabelle announced the "safe waters" i instantly thought "aren't there great white sharks on the coast of this island?"

You can have a bonfire surrounded by gas pumps inside your house... or next to a villager's house. So you can also attempt arson in ACNH.

I forgot gas pumps were in the game.

I actively avoid "dangerous actives" even in AC. I can't stand it when I or villagers put fire items inside. It for real makes me uncomfortable because the house could burn down. I also have to fence in all cliffs because I don't want my villagers to fall off and hurt themselves. I can't put villagers' houses too near a cliffs edge because I don't want the house to fall off. I also can't put villagers too close to the water on the beach because I don't want their house to get washed away or flooded. (yes, I have OCD)

This whole game is about danger. My whole island is for dangerous people. It's a bad-guy vacation island.

I chase my friends with axes.

If a villager's house could fall off a cliff, I'd put Quillson's house next to the cliff next to the ocean on top of sand paths and water the ground every day for maximum erosion.

It's also emotionally dangerous to players. Who wouldn't thought that a pixelated animal can make you sad or happy?

I mean though... the game behavior is actually pretty accurate! The sharks run away if players get too close :D Sharks really do not generally seek humans out as prey, shark attacks are realllllllllllly REALLY rare (not that that makes it easier to convince the irrational half of the brain or invalidates that fear, but you know, facts are still dope! and important to be sure that nobody ever holds sharks being sharks against them). You honestly can pretty much safely snorkel around sharks like that and be safe--the statistic I found from a university was that your chance of shark attack was something like 1 in 3.75 million.

Shark attacks aren't rare at all, and they will continue to happen until humans wake up to the fact that the ocean isn't meant for us.

It's the sharks home, and we are trespassers.

Wow! I think Isabelle is trying to get rid of us, she might be sick of hearing our complaints about her morning announcements XD You can shove others into pitfalls, that sounds like it has the potential to end up with someone getting hurt.

To be fair I don't think irl you could speak to a lion or alligator and walk away unscathed.
