I was going to start cycling for myself on my second 3DS, to get the rest of my dreamies, then possibly start cycling for this site. What I want to know from experienced cyclers is: Do you got any tips?

Any response is appreciated, whether by PM or reply to this thread.

I cycle my villagers pretty fast. If I don't have any villagers in my town who I don't want, I barely speak to them. I only talk to to the ones who are outside or in their houses. This makes it go by faster

I've been cycling for less than a week, so I don't expect any tips/if any yet. I've heard from more experienced cycling friends that they'll rarely get tips for the bigger villagers (Stitches, Zucker, Kabuki, Ect.) around 100-500k. They cycle on other sites so if anyone here tips, I don't know yet. Hope this gives you a bit of help. :)

Aetherbam, I think that by "tips" he meant "advices", not bells x)
Or I just didn't undersand, that's another possibility...
(But I'm french, so I'm sarting to doubt... Tip also mean advice, right ? u_u)

oh sorry mate i think you have my definition of tips wrong. im not talking about money for services rendered. im talking about help to make me a better cycler! :3 sorry for the confusion.

Not that kind of tips Aetherbam.. As in advice!

Oh wow, derp move on my part. Thought he asked about people tipping.

As in how people cycle, the method I do is the TT'ing 3 days forward after someone moves in / moves out and 1 day forward until you get pinged for move out or a new house moves in. Rinse and Repeat.

I guess now he has knowledge on ways how to / how well people tip?! x]

This is how I cycle:
When you have 9 Villagers (when Isabelle just announced someone moving in works best), I TT 4 days forward - at that point, someone usually wants to move. IF NOT - I TT day by day until someone is in boxes (usually takes another day or two - it just depends if there are any events going on) (1)

When you have 10 Villagers (when the 10th Villager has just moved in), I TT 3 days forward - and then ONE day at a time until someone decides to move. (2)
(go back to the first explanation to continue to get that 9th Villager out)

MOVE-IN'S
Once my 9th Villager has moved out, I TT 4 days forward - then 1 day at a time until Isabelle announces a move-in. I'm not sure if that's how others do it, but that's just what worked for me. Then of course, go back to explanation 1 to continue to cycle.

Some tips:
- Building a campsite helps, especially if it takes too long for someone to move in. It might even be easier to convince a camper to move in to BECOME your 9th Villager - since they always move in within 2 days
- If you're unsure what day you're on (I tend to forget), TT'ing ONE day at a time is always the safe route
- I NEVER talked to my Villagers and they always moved within those 3/4 days of TT'ing. I didn't rely on getting pinged, I wasn't intending to keep any of the Villagers in my cycling town.
- BUUTTTT, if you do intend to keep some of the Villagers in your cycling town - TALK TO THEM FREQUENT. They are more likely to ping you to move and of course tell you who is thinking of moving

I hope this helps! Sorry it's so long....

i found that not talking to them at all moves pple you don't want out faster. i stopped introducing myself to anyone i don't want to keep for my own town or for friends. if you want to keep them, just keep talking to them so that they don't forget you and they'll ping you if they plan to move.

Oh this is wonderful. just exactly what i was looking for. :)

Honestly, I actually cycle a bit in my main town for dream villagers and I always TT forward by a month. The trick is to just make a "New Save File" after you TT, see who is gone, force close AC with no saving, and then change the date back and box/keep the villager. The only way you can mess this up is by loading your mayor instead of a new save file, as logging in on the mayor autosaves the town and you can't save the villager you wanted to sell/giveaway.
