Curiosity about 16 villager cycle and Amiibo cards

So i was in a conversation with my boyfriend about Animal Crossing. A thought/question popped in my head when it was about amiibo cards..

If you can kick out, villagers using the amiibo cards.. And you had to cycle 16 villagers for a specific villager(that you don't have a card of) would kicking villagers out using amiibo cards consider as a part of the 16 villager cycle or not?

It DOES count toward the cycle, but a word of caution: Amiibo-invited villagers are next to impossible to move out naturally, so unless they're villagers you want to keep, be careful. A kind of workaround on this is to constantly move the same two card villagers in and out until you hit the 16 limit. Still not the best option, but...There ya go.
